1) PROJECT MANAGER

Responsibilities

  • The Project Manager will be involved in the project management of all the marine transport and their operations in a major sand reclamation project in Singapore
  • The Project Manager is expected to be qualified, competent and possess the skill, knowledge and ability to manage and co-ordinate the project effectively.
  • The Project Manager will be responsible for the proper organization of both men and machines involved in the project.

Requirements

  • A recognized qualification in marine related field, preferably a degree in Maritime Studies or Civil Engineering
  • At least five (5) years of relevant experience in major reclamation projects and for management of offshore marine operations or marine projects.
  • Relevant experience in reclamation hydraulic modelling, environmental impact assessment, hydrodynamic modelling and marine structure works will be added advantage
2) MARINE CONTROLLER

Responsibilities

  • The Marine Controller will be involved in a major sand reclamation project in Singapore
  • The Marine Controller will be involved in the planning and implementation of the controls, programme, communication for the safe movement of vessels in the Deposition Areas and dumping of the sand in the project management of all the marine transport and their operations

Requirements

  • Possess a Master Mariner’s Certificate Class 1 (or equivalent) or pilotage qualification with a minimum five (5) years of working experience in related projects.
  • Possess good knowledge of the operation procedures for marine projects, particularly on the management of bulk carriers, dredgers, barges etc., within Singapore waters
  • Has detailed knowledge and a sound understanding of the Port Marine Safety Code and knowledge of current legislation of the marine sector in Singapore.
3) SAFETY SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities

  • The Safety Supervisor will be involved in a major sand reclamation project in Singapore
  • The Safety Supervisors shall spend their time fully performing the following:
    • To supervise safety and promote safety conduct
    • To inspect and rectify any unsafe place of work
    • To correct any unsafe practice. and
    • To ensure that the provisions of the Factories Act and its Subsidiary Legislation made thereunder are complied with.
  • The Safety Supervisor shall implement appropriate safety measures and ensure a safe work environment and safe work procedures for the operations in accordance with the Workplace Safety Health Act regulations and its Subsidiary Legislation and all requirements imposed by MPA.
  • The Safety Supervisor shall ensure that the necessary risk assessments have been carried out and safety measures have been implemented by the sand suppliers for their marine operations in accordance with the Workplace Safety Health Act regulations and its Subsidiary Legislation and all requirements imposed by MPA.

Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Safety Officer
  • Well versed on the requirements under the Workplace Safety Health Act regulations and its Subsidiary Legislation and all requirements imposed by MPA.
  • Previous experience as a Safety Supervisor in major reclamation projects and for management of offshore marine operations or marine projects.
4) SENIOR SITE SUPERVISOR / SITE SUPERVISORS

Responsibilities

  • The Site Supervisors will be involved in a major sand reclamation project in Singapore
  • The Site Supervisor will be required to supervise and coordinate the operations involved in the reclamation work.
  • The Site Supervisor will supervise the operations throughout the operations of the Deposition Areas.

Requirements

  • Possess the relevant experience in management of offshore marine operations or marine projects and / or major reclamation projects in Singapore.
  • Possess at least a diploma in marine studies, civil engineering or marine related field
  • Possess a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant working experience.
5) HEALTH SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities

  • The Health Supervisor will be involved in a major sand reclamation project in Singapore.
  • The Health Supervisor will take charge of all matters related to environmental health on the Site.
  • The Health Supervisor shall conduct random site checks and take prompt enforcement or corrective actions to ensure that the site offices and facilities and the general surroundings of the project are kept clean, tidy and hygienic at all times.
  • The Heath Supervisor shall also ensure that the areas are kept mosquito-tree at all times.

Requirements

  • Possess a certificate in “Vector Control Course tor Construction Site Supervisors” issued by MEW or equivalent and competent to take charge of all matters related to environmental health on the Site.
  • Possess at least one year previous experience in a similar capacity
  • Able to converse in English and Mandarin.
6) PROJECT ADMIN EXECUTIVE

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Project Manager at the site office including attendance, payroll, petty cash, payments to suppliers and raising invoices etc

Requirements

  • Diploma holder with at least 3 years office support work experience
  • Class 2 or 3 driving licence
  • PC competency especially in Microsoft Office programmes

icon-3OVERSEAS POSITIONS

1) PORT OPERATIONS/PLANNING MANAGER (OVERSEAS)

The candidate is responsible for the smooth running of the container terminal Operations Department ranging from the yard, ship planning and ground operations to ensure its efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

  1. University Degree or Master Mariner with minimum 5 years experience as departmental head or equivalent appointment overseeing the operations of a system-centered international container terminal
  2. Experience in managing container transshipment and related operations preferred but not required.
  3. Previous operational experience in a shipping line would be advantageous
  4. Certified stowage planner or central planner would be advantageous
  5. Familiarity with container terminal operational safety, security requirements and HSE procedures
  6. Proficiency in written & spoken English
  7. High level of PC literacy
  8. Strong management & leadership skills
2) TECHNICAL SUPERVISORS / TECHNICAL SPECIALISTS (OVERSEAS)

The candidates will be deployed to OPM’s project sites for the repair and refurbishment of port equipment.

Requirements

  1. Previous repair and maintenance experience on port equipment such as prime movers, reach stackers, empty stackers, small to heavy forklifts. (Resumes should indicate brand of equipment handled previously)
  2. Experienced in rewiring of whole equipment
  3. Experienced in troubleshooting electrical/electronic malfunctions
  4. Experienced in engine and transmission trouble shooting and overhaul.
  5. Experienced in mechanical and hydraulics

Attractive remuneration packages will be commensurate with qualification and experience with generous perks and free living conditions and transport for overseas position. Above positions can be either permanent or on a contract basis.

 

icon-3SINGAPORE OFFICE

1) ASSISTANT MANAGER/MANAGER

The candidate will assist from HQ in supporting overseas projects, conduct research and follow up on new business developments for the company.

Requirements

  1. University Degree with minimum 2 years experience in port operations.
  2. Previous operational experience in a shipping line would be advantageous
  3. Analytical with good report writing skills
  4. Proficiency in written & spoken English
  5. High level of PC literacy
  6. Strong management & leadership skills
2) ACCOUNTS / ADMIN EXECUTIVE

The candidate will be required to handle a full set of accounts, perform cashflow Management, follow up on sales and purchases activities, day to day administrative works and general reports

Requirements

  1. Diploma in Accounting or Bachelor in Accounting from a recognized university.
  2. At least 2-5 years’ accounting experience preferably in a shipping related industry
  3. Good communication skills in English.
  4. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
  5. Good knowledge of web-design applications
  6. Possess strong initiative, good interpersonal & communication skills with different levels of people.
