Overseas Port Management was invited by IBC Asia to deliver a workshop at the 5th Vietnam Ports & Logistics Conference held at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 29th October to 1st November 2012. The workshop on “Container Terminal Operations Management” was led by Mr Chak Siew Cheun and Mr Francis Aurol Xavier. It serves to address major aspects of terminal management from strategic management to operations.

The topics which was discussed with the attendees from various players in the Vietnam port industry include:
•    Increasing terminal efficiency
•    Working with shippers and shipping lines
•    Ensuring ROI in technology and process investments
•    Challenges unique to Vietnam, and operational considerations
•    Case studies
